Irishman’s Shanty owner Paul Gregg is a community-minded business owner and he has been that way since he took over ownership 30-plus years ago. The Irishman’s Shanty will offer half-price breakfast or lunch entrée’s if you shop a Crookston business on Small Business Saturday, November 24, and bring in the receipt when you eat. “It is an idea I had to support the Crookston merchants,” said Gregg. “We will start at 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and you need to show a receipt from any Crookston merchant from that day and we will give you your food/entre for half price that day. We want to encourage people to shop small on Saturday.”
Gregg said they will be closed all day on Thanksgiving and he wanted to remind people to pick up their off sale on Wednesday. “If you are in charge of bringing the bottle of wine, that beer or whatever, make sure you pick it up by 10:00 p.m. tonight (Wednesday),” said Gregg. “We wish everybody a happy Thanksgiving and safe travels and enjoy the day and family.”
