ISAAC THOMFORDE AND HALLE WINJUM CROWNED CHS HOMECOMING KING AND QUEEN

2023 homecoming king and queen Isaac Thomforde, and Halle Winjum

Crookston High School held its annual homecoming coronation on Monday afternoon, where Halle Winjum was crowned as homecoming queen, and Isaac Thomforde was crowned as homecoming king.

The king’s court included- Carter Trudeau, Jackson Reese, Brannon Tanquist, Isaac Thomforde, and Carter Coauette.

The queen’s court included- Coral Brekken, Morgan Nelson, Brekken Tull, Isabelle Smith, and Halle Winjum.

2023 CHS homecoming king Isaac Thomforde took time to reflect on the honor and spoke about his faith being a significant factor in receiving this award. “Honestly, I was pretty surprised, and I wasn’t expecting to get picked,” said Thomforde, “I don’t feel like I deserve it, but God’s blessings are everywhere. I’m thankful that he’s blessed me with this. I just want to emphasize all glory to God.”

2023 CHS homecoming queen Halle Winjum also took time to reflect on being crowned and thanked those who nominated her for the award. “I’m really honored to be selected as homecoming queen,” said Winjum, “I’m happy and excited; the group of girls that were nominated is a tight group it was fun to get ready with them. I was shocked to win, but I’m happy that I’m queen; I want to thank all my classmates and younger students who voted for me.”
