University of Minnesota Crookston senior Isieoma Odor (R-Sr., F/C, Bloomington, Minn.) was named All-NSIC First Team as announced Thurs., Feb. 28 by the conference office. Odor is a first-time All-NSIC honoree. She is the seventh Minnesota Crookston to earn All-NSIC First Team accolades. The Golden Eagles have received 10 All-NSIC First Team honors among the seven players. Odor is the first All-NSIC First Team selection for the women’s basketball program since Katrina Nordick and Alexa Thielman earned All-NSIC First Team following the 2015-16 season.
Odor put up one of the best seasons in school history. Her 525 points as a redshirt seniors ranks second all-time in Minnesota Crookston history to only Jessica Forsline on the 2001-02 season, who was also an All-NSIC First Team honoree. Odor averaged 18.1 points and 8.2 rebounds per game. She tallied double-figure scoring in 26 of 29 names on the 2018-19 season, including a career-high 29 points at Wayne State College (Neb.). Odor was a four-time All-NSIC North Player of the Week. She finished her career fourth all-time in scoring with 1,519 points. She is just the fourth player in school history to score over 1,500 points joining Jamie Zelinsky, Karna Plaine, and Katrina Nordick. Odor also set the school record for rebounds in a career.
Cassie Askvig of University of Mary was named the NSIC Player of the Year. Sammy Kozlowski of University of Minnesota Duluth was selected as the NSIC Defensive Player of the Year. Vishe’ Rabb of Augustana University earned the NSIC Freshman of the Year. Karla Nelson of Minnesota State University Moorhead was named NSIC Coach of the Year.
