Jack Stewart Sherlock – Obit

Jack Stewart Sherlock, 81 of Mesa, AZ passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2022, with his loving wife Rosita by his side at their home after a long courageous battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis.

Jack was born June 25, 1941, in Backoo, ND to Matt and Jean Sherlock. As a young child, he moved to Crookston, MN with his family.

He attended and graduated from Crookston Central High School and continued his education in the construction trade.

Jack was united in marriage to Rosita Gaber in Fertile, MN in 1966.

Jack and Rosita had an adventurous 56 years together beginning in Crookston, MN, and continued on to Grand Forks, ND where they started Sherlock Construction, which became their livelihood for the next 30 years.

Retirement brought them to Bradenton, FL, and Mesa, AZ, where lifelong friendships were created.

Jack was an avid sports fan and enjoyed hockey, golf, and pickleball, as well as many other sports.

Above all, Jack loved Rosita and his family, devoting his life to them.

Jack leaves his beloved wife Rosita and loving children Daniel (Connie) and Heather (Doug). Treasured grandchildren Amanda and Sam.

Siblings Laurie Smith, Jim (Nancy) Sherlock, sister-in-law Nancy (Lyon) Sherlock, and brother-in-law Carl (Melody) Gaber, along with numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

Jack is proceeded in death by his parents Matt and Jean, father and mother-in-law Adam and Rose Gaber, brothers Dennis and Michael Sherlock, sister-in-law Marilyn Sherlock and brother-in-law Bill Smith.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Sunland Springs Village in Mesa, AZ October 22, 2022, from 2:00 – 4:00 pm.

There will also be a service held in the spring of 2023 in Minneapolis, MN date to be determined.

In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation or charity of choice.
