Jackie Marie Frentz, age 43, of Crookston, Minnesota, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2025. She was born on October 18, 1982, in Hastings, Nebraska to loving parents Jerry and Cordelia Frentz.
Jackie’s warmth and love were evident in her fondness for hugs, her passion for music, and her playful spirit, which was reflected in her favorite pastimes. She found joy in doing puzzles, and was an enthusiastic supporter of the Minnesota Vikings, whose jerseys are her favorite color, purple. Her dedication was not only shown in her personal interests but also in the loyalty she shared with her family and friends.
When she wasn’t spending time with family and friends or enjoying her hobbies, Jackie worked at the Developmental Achievement Center in Crookston. She also participated in the Special Olympics, playing basketball and bowling.
Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Cordelia (Fernlund) Frentz; her sister, Lisa Frentz, and other beloved family and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Jerry Frentz; grandparents, Edward and Carol Fernlund and Raymond and Norva Frentz.
As we remember Jackie, we celebrate a life well-lived, marked by love, commitment, and an infectious cheerfulness that will forever remain in our hearts. Her legacy will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her.
A memorial service celebrating Jackie’s life will be held on at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at Stenshoel-Houske Funeral Home in Crookston, MN. In lieu of flowers, Jackie’s family requests that donations be made to the Crookston Parks & Recreation Department to support the care of the flower beds in town for all to enjoy.
