Jacolyn A. Erickson – Obit

Jacolyn A. Erickson, 73, Fertile, MN, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 22, 2021, at her residence.

Jacolyn A. (Wagner) Erickson was born on January 11, 1948, in Slayton, Minnesota and lovingly became the daughter of Albert H. and Wilma (Jordan) Wagner.

Jackie graduated high school from Lake Park, MN in 1966. She was united in marriage to Bruce Erickson on November 7, 1971, and together they became the proud parents of their daughter, Stacy.

Jackie was a member of the Polk County Fair Board for many years, a Polk County Dispatcher from 1995-2013, and a paramedic from 1995-2007. Jackie was also employed by Cenex, Al & Laura’s Grocery, JT’s, and Fair Meadow Nursing Home.

Jackie was very social and enjoyed time with her friends and family. She also loved her pets very much.

She will be missed forever by the friends and family lucky enough to have spent time with her.

Jackie is survived by her daughter, Stacy Erickson, Crookston, MN; brothers, Mark (Barb) Wagner, Lake Park, MN, and Jim (Nancy) Wagner, Fertile, MN; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert H. and Wilma Wagner; and an infant sister.

Memorial Service:  11:00 AM, Friday, January 29, 2021, at Concordia Lutheran Church, Fertile, MN, following all of the Minnesota and CDC COVID-19 social distancing guidelines, with a maximum capacity of 100 in attendance. All must wear a mask to attend. Jackie’s memorial service will be live-streamed on the United in Christ Lutheran Parish YouTube channel.

Visitation: A walk-through visitation will take place one hour before the service at the church.
