Jason Paul Voeller – OBIT

Jason Paul Voeller, 76, of Climax, MN, passed away peacefully at home with his loving family by his side on Tuesday, November 12, 2024.  He was born on October 19, 1948, in Rugby, ND, to parents Bernard and Leith (Greene) Voeller.

Jason grew up in Rugby, North Dakota.  He served his country in the United States Army from 1968-1971, serving in Vietnam.  After returning home, Jason moved to the Minneapolis area where he attended Dunwoody and obtained his Journeyman and Master Electrician licenses.  Jason started his own electrical business in 1993.
In 1982, Jason met the love of his life, Jacquelyn Alexander, in a Greek restaurant and the two instantly fell in love.  You could say in a way it was destiny as Jackie almost didn’t go that night, but she was so glad she did because four years later the two married in Minneapolis and went on to spend the next 38 years together.  The couple had two children, Andrew “Drew” and Jessica. They eventually moved to and settled in Climax, MN in 1992 where Jason began farming with his father and brother, Jeff.  Of course, not every day was easy.  Sadly, when he was 15 years old, Drew passed away after his battle with Leukemia.  Jackie and Jason relied heavily on one another during this time and were a source of strength for each other and Jessica.

Jason loved his electrical work, farming, fishing, and hunting, but more than anything else he absolutely loved his granddaughter, Isabelle!  Especially in the last weeks of his life, she would visit, and her company would light him up.  His family will deeply miss his presence, his smile, his laugh, and will carry the wonderful memories he leaves them with throughout the remainder of their lives; and they will continue to share stories about him with his granddaughter and each other.

May God Bless the memory of Jason Paul Voeller.

Jason is survived by his wife, Jackie Voeller; daughter, Jessica (Cole) Anderson; granddaughter, Isabelle; one sister, Joan Meeder; and one brother, Jeff Voeller.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Leith Voeller; son, Drew Voeller; one sister, Janice White; and one brother, Jerel Voeller.

His family will Celebrate his life together at a later date.
