Joseph Luz Muñoz – OBIT

Joseph Luz Muñoz, of Grafton, ND, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2025, just days after celebrating his 74th birthday. Born on April 26, 1951, in Grafton, Joe spent most of his life working in the mechanical and maintenance field.

Joe enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially during backyard barbecues filled with jokes, laughter, and storytelling.

He is survived by his wife, Eveyln, and his children: Paul Muñoz of Grand Forks, ND; Yolanda (Mike) Syrup of Park River, ND; Robert (Cecilia) Muñoz of Houston, TX; and Gary Muñoz of Crookston, MN. Joe was a grandfather to 17 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Joe is also survived by his brother, Gilbert Muñoz, and sisters Rosa Aguilar, Gloria Muñoz, Josephine Gonzalez, and Victoria Muñoz.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Martina Muñoz; his son, Kyle Muñoz; brothers John, Richard, and Tony Muñoz; and his sister, Virginia Fabela.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Tollefson’s Funeral Home on May 12th, 2025 with visitation at 6pm followed by a prayer service at 7pm.
