Joyce Paulette Klask, 67, Ada, Minnesota, died Friday, September 27, 2019, at the Halstad Living Center Halstad, Minnesota, after a brief illness.
Joyce was born July 20, 1952 to Harry and Ella (Rinerson) Broers in Ada, MN. She was confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Twin Valley, MN. After graduating from Twin Valley High School in 1970, Joyce studied art at Moorhead State University for a time.
On October 30, 1971 she married Doug Johnson and they had a daughter, Destiny. Their marriage ended and Joyce moved to Moorhead MN; and then to Ada. She worked at the Ada National Bank and met Stewart Klask. They later married on May 29, 1981 and made their home on the Klask farm near Ada.
Joyce was kept busy keeping books for the farm, gardening, needle work, painting and refinishing antique furniture. Kitties had a special place in Joyce’s heart.
Joyce is survived by her husband of 38 years, Stewart, Halstad, MN; a daughter: Destiny (Lawrence) Merck, and three grandsons: Lawson, Ledger, Larkin all from Pillager, MN; three sisters: Harriet Andersen, Twin Valley, MN; Ilene Allrich, Dilworth, MN; Sandy (Steve) Boman, Twin Valley, MN; one brother: Glen (Linda) Broers, Dilworth, MN; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, step-father, Ole Gilbertson, two nieces and 3 nephews.
Funeral: 2:00PM Thursday, October 3, 2019, at Faith United Church, Ada.
Visitation: From 5:00PM to 7:00PM Wednesday, October 2, 2019, at Fredrikson-Ganje Funeral Home, Ada, Minnesota.
Burial: Ada Municipal Cemetery, Ada, MN.
