Crookston’s Katherine Geist won her 10th straight cross country meet of the season when she won the Bemidji Cross Country Invitational in Bemidji. Katherine was first out of 80 runners with a time of 19:34, which was 23 seconds better than Perham’s Liz Birkeland. Emily Gillette finished in 69th place with a time of 25:29.
Perham won the team competition with 43 points, 13 points better than Moorhead. Other teams competing were Staples-Motley, Bemidji, East Grand Forks, Pelican Rapids, Hawley, Crosby-Ironton, Warroad, Thief River Falls, Roseau, Ada-Borup/Norman County West, and Bagley-Fosston.
