Keith Wade Jacobson was born on September 4, 1946, in Ada, Minnesota to Meloyd and Opal Jacobson. They lived on a farm near Perley and in a cabin near Lake George before settling down in Hendrum, Minnesota. Keith graduated from Hendrum High School in 1964. He then enlisted in the United States Army in 1965. He served in Vietnam and was honorably discharged in 1968. He then attended Minnesota State University Moorhead and met Connie Triebwasser. They were blessed with two sons, Richard and Darin.

Keith had a number of interesting jobs through the years. He worked for Lako Drilling (Arthur, ND) and Silverline Boats (Moorhead, MN.) Keith later pursued a fiberglass business in Hendrum with his mom. He then helped with various farming jobs while he was a self-employed carpenter.

Keith met Karen Matthys in Perley, MN in 1986. They were blessed with two daughters, Katrina and Kelsey. They made their home in Hendrum, MN, and were married on April 6, 2018.

Keith spent much of his time outdoors. He enjoyed walleye fishing, deer hunting, and riding ATVs and various watercraft. He was always quick to help neighbors with lawn mowing and snow removal. Keith was also a devoted sports fan. As tough as it was, he remained faithful to the Minnesota Vikings and all other Minnesota sports teams. Keith truly enjoyed going to his family’s sporting events, especially his grandkids. When he was not watching sports, Fox News was always on the TV.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Malcolm Londo; parents-in-law, Leo and Mildred Matthys; sisters-in-law, Beverly Jacobson and Shannon Jacobson; brothers-in-law, Donald Matthys and David Lee; step-siblings, Bonnie Wadena, Loris LaFriniere, Ardyce McCradie, Lynn Spry, and Louis Londo.
