Kendall Pederson – Obit

Kendall Pederson, 74 of Red Lake Falls, MN, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at home with his loving family.

Memorial Service will be Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home in Red Lake Falls, MN, with visitation one hour prior to the service and with Military Honors provided by American Legion Gunder Austad Post 22 Honor Guard. Larry Myhrer will officiate. Burial at Oak Grove cemetery will occur in the spring

Kendall Dayton Pederson was born September 23, 1944 son of the late Kenneth and Edna (Blomberg) Pederson, Thief River Falls, MN.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1965 until his honorable discharge in 1967.

Kendall was united in marriage to Carol St. Marie on August 3, 1968 in Red Lake Falls, MN. They made their home in Red Lake Falls where they continued to live and raise their children.  Kendall worked for Homark, Inc. for 23 years and was employed by Northern Woodworkers, Thief River Falls until he retired.  His passions included snowmobiling, fishing, hunting and woodworking.

He was a member of the American Legion Post 22 for 45 continuous years; serving as Commander from 1988-1989.  He was a member of the Honor Guard, proudly fulfilling this duty on numerous occasions.   He especially enjoyed participating in the Memorial Day Program every year.

Kendall is survived by Carol, his wife; children, Lisa (Clint DeHoop) of Prior Lake, MN; Lon (Sara) of Red Lake Falls, MN; grandchildren, Rhylee and Kennedy Pederson; and siblings Lyle Pederson of St. Hilaire, MN and Sheryl (Dan) Bsales of Surpise, AZ along with many other family and friends.

Kendall is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Keith and Royce Pederson; sister Janice Laufman; and nephew Trent Carlson.
