Kenneth Paradis
passed away on Monday, March 18, 2019 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 10:30 AM at Johnson Funeral Service in Red Lake Falls, MN with Father Bob Schreiner Officiating. Burial will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery in Terrebonne, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday.
Kenneth Mark “Pookie” Paradis was born November 26, 1961 at St. John Hospital in Red Lake Falls, MN son of Mark and Donna (Baatz) Paradis. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Terrebonne, MN. Kenneth attended Washington Elementary and Lafayette High School in Red Lake Falls, graduating in the class of 1981.
Kenneth attended Pine Technical College for Gunsmithing. He worked for Bernard Steinkopf, Jacob and Jordan Riendeau, Perry Duden and Opatz Metal of Holdingford, MN and East Grand Forks. He helped Vern Schindler on the farm. Kenneth also worked for WDS Scepaniak gravel company in Holdingford, MN.
Kenneth enjoyed coffee at Mike and Sharon Riendeau’s, hunting, fishing and going to the casino. He also enjoyed spending time with the family and friends and telling a good joke. He loved animals, especially his cat “Sammy”. He liked watching sporting events including the Vikings and Twins.
He is survived by his mother Donna Paradis at Terrebonne, MN; siblings Bernadette Paradis (Jerome Hruby) of Bemidji, MN, Fred Paradis of Warroad, MN, Louis Paradis of Roosevelt, MN, Thomas Paradis (Julia Smith) of East Grand Forks, MN, Godmother Agnes Reek, special friends Brian “Buzzy” and Susan Gagner, and his cat Sammy along with numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his father Mark Paradis, and Godfather Uncle Thomas Ernest Paradis and his grandparents.
