The Crookston Pirate Girls track team finished second out of eight teams, and the Pirate Boys finished fifth out of seven teams at the Thief River Falls Track and Field invite on Saturday. Thief River Falls won the girl’s division, while East Grand Forks won the boys division.
GIRLS
Breanna Kressin had another spectacular day while winning all three of her events again. She won the 100 meters, 100 hurdles, and 300 hurdles easily to earn 30 team points. She wasn’t the only one that placed in several events as Hayden Winjum finished in the top two in all three of her events. Hayden won the Triple Jump, she finished second in the 400 meters, and second place in the high jump.
Cassie Solheim was on the second-place 4×100 relay team, she was second in the long jump, and third place in the 100 and 200-meter races.
BOYS
The Pirate Boys were led by their 4×100 and 4 x 200 relay teams as they finished second and third place respectively. Carter Coauette, Ethan Boll, Tanner Giese, and Makoti Weber were on both relay teams. Thor Harbott had another solid race in the 1600 meters and finished third, and Makoti Weber finished third in the pole vault.
