After several years, Larry sold his farmland to Steve Mattson Farms, where he was employed for over 30 years. On November 20, 1993, Larry married Lois (Seykora) Heiraas in Moorhead, MN, and gained 6 stepchildren. The couple made their home in West Fargo, ND, for a short time before making their forever home in Lake Park, MN. During Larry’s health decline, he entered the Viking Manor Nursing Home in Ulen, MN.

Larry was an active member of the Atlanta Lutheran Church and was an active Gideon. He was also a member of the Flom VFW. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and cherished his time spent with loved ones. He will be missed by all who knew him.
