LETTER TO THE EDITOR: HIGHLAND & WASHINGTON READ-A-THON FUNDRAISERS

Highland & Washington School’s conducted their Read-A-Thon fundraisers from November 1 to November 12. Highland & Washington PTO’s have since released a letter thanking the community for their support and discussed how the event went. The letter can be found down below –

The Highland & Washington Schools’ Read-a-Thon fundraisers were held Nov 1-12, 2021. Students enjoyed Dr. Seuss themed days and friendly classroom competitions. They logged 217,080 minutes during the 2-week event!!

All proceeds will be used for field trips in the spring, school supplies students need, enrichment materials teachers request for their classrooms, and to support special days and activities planned for our students throughout the year.

We wish to thank the 230+ personal donors including parents, families, and friends. We want to thank KROX and Crookston Times for providing media coverage of our Read-a-Thon. We also want to thank our local Crookston businesses who again supported us during this very challenging year:

  • AgCountry Farm Credit Services
  • American Crystal Sugar Company
  • American Federal Bank
  • Ampride Convenience Mart
  • Best Used Trucks
  • Bremer Bank
  • Christian Brothers Ford

  • United Valley Bank
  • Ottertail Power Company
  • Proulx Refrigeration, Heating & Appliance
  • RiverView Health

The PTOs would not be able to support Highland and Washington students and teachers without your donations and we are truly grateful for your assistance.

Thank you!

Highland & Washington PTOs
