Letter to the Editor: SNOW, CITY OF CROOKSTON

I live in Minnesota because I want to, I don’t mind the heat of summer that much, the wind year round or even the snow.

I have lived at my current location for over 34 years. It is a corner lot so I have had to put up with the snow from the directions of both streets.

I have kept the fire hydrant across the street cleaned out per our cities directions for the same period of time plus cleaned the street corner before the plow comes through so the neighbors and myself can get to work.

I have to rake the rocks out of my lawn every spring because the plow cutting to deep and rolling sod along the edge of the road into my yard.

I have always thought to myself that having to clean up after the snowplow goes by on the street was just a hazard of living where I choose.

Don’t mind cleaning that up but when a grader pulls across my driveway and deposits the snow from an alley there I do get a little mad.

I’ll continue to live here and to clean snow from the end of my driveway but this is ridiculous.

We as citizens, for the most part, do our job in compliance with the city but in return, we do deserve some respect for our property from the city.
