Marci Lea Anderson (Lavold) – OBIT

Marci Lea Anderson (Lavold), 51, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at Sanford on Broadway, surrounded by her immediate family.

Marci was born to Dale Lavold and Kathy Mickelson on August 8, 1972, in Hillsboro, North Dakota. Marci grew up in the Halstad and Shelly area with her parents and sister, Mylie. Marci graduated from Norman County West High School in Halstad in 1990, and the following year she had her daughter, Jesse, who is her greatest blessing. Marci met Brad Anderson on November 25, 1993, and 20 years later decided to get married on August 19, 2011. Brad was the love of her life. Marci enjoyed the simple things in life and she loved animals, especially her two dogs, Charlie and Gussie. Marci also enjoyed reading, riding motorcycles with her husband Brad and friends, riding horses, she loved to thrift shop, and spending all her free time with her family. Marci had a contagious smile and an infectious laugh. She was friends with most anyone she met. If you knew her, you knew you could always count on her to make your day brighter. Marci made her life with her husband, Brad and daughter, Jesse in Halstad.

Marci is survived by her husband, Brad Anderson, Halstad, MN; daughter, Jesse Little (Morgan Anderson), Horace, ND; father, Dale Lavold, Halstad, MN; mother, Kathy Mickelson (Robert), Apache Junction, AZ; sister, Mylie Laugheed (Vern), Northfield, MN; niece, Sydney Schertzer, Bellingham, WA; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and brothers and sisters in law.

She is preceded in death by her grandma and grandpa Lavold; grandma and grandpa Knutson; brother-in-law, Micheal Anderson (Spike); mother-in-law, Audrey Anderson; aunt, Lois; Roger Wiese; and uncle, Robert Sharpe.

Memorial Service: 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at Fredrikson-Ganje Funeral Home, Halstad, MN.

Visitation: One hour before the service at the funeral home.

Inurnment: Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Rural Shelly, MN.
