Due to the cool summer and wet fall, much of the area’s corn crop is still standing in the field. Many of the area’s soybean and some wheat fields that are normally tilled ready for spring seeding have not been touched. Marshall / Pennington Counties Ag Services Director Bill Craig has invited NDSU Extension Specialist Joel Ransom to meet with area farmers and crop advisors to discuss potential issues regarding the late corn harvest and soil preparation for the 2020 spring planting. Results of the 2019 Marshall County Corn Varietal Trials will also be shared at this meeting. The meeting will start at 1:30 pm at the Courthouse Basement Meeting Room in Warren on Monday, February 10th. For additional information, contact Bill Craig at the Marshall County Extension Office at 218-201-1686 or email craig030@umn.edu
