Mary Dahlen, age 83, longtime Anoka, MN resident, passed away Thursday morning, February 27, 2025, at the Northfield Retirement Community.

Mary Irene (Hoffman) Dahlen, was born September 30, 1941, in Shelly, MN to Sylvester and Thelma (Bush) Hoffman. She was raised in Shelly and attended Halstad Public School. On August 9, 1958, Mary married Francis Allen Dahlen. At that time, Francis was serving in the US Army, so they made their home in several places. In 1965, they settled in Anoka. Over the years, Mary did in-home daycare and worked for several years at Kmart and Walmart. Francis passed away February 4, 2019. In 2020, Mary moved to rural Randolph, MN to live with her son, Bryan. Later that year, she moved to the Northfield Retirement Community.

Mary was a longtime member of Faith Lutheran Church in Coon Rapids and a former member of the Red Hat Society. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, traveling with Francis and playing cards. She was upbeat, positive, a social butterfly, and was well known for her infectious laugh. She was loved and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her sons, Bryan (Cheri) of Randolph and Jason of Duluth, MN; daughter, Suzan of Blaine, MN; her grandchildren: Eric, Steve (Tara) and Ashley; her great-grandchildren: Camryn, Leo, Wesley, Hannah, and Lilith; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis; her brothers: George, John, Edward and Joseph; her sisters: Sally, Catherine and Edna; and her parents.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Zion Cemetery in Twin Valley, Minnesota, where she will rest alongside Francis.
