Masyn Arguelles goes 3-0 and wins another tournament

Crookston Pirate Wrestler Masyn Arguelles competed in the Bertha-Hewitt-Verndale-Parkers Prairie Girls Wrestling tournament on Saturday and won the tournament by going 3-0 on the day.

Masyn competed at 118 pounds and, in the first round, beat Charli Snyder of Wadena-Deer Creek 9-2/ Masyn started the match with a takedown for a 3-0 lead, which was the score going into the second period. Mason scored a point and had a takedown, while Snyder had two escapes, and Masyn took a 7-0 lead after two periods.  Masyn started the third period with a reversal and held on the rest of the way, and won the match 9-2.
In the second match, Masyn beat Ella Rich of Ottertail Central by a pin at 1:15. Masyn started the match with a takedown for a 3-0 lead and won the match by pin at 1:15.
In the third match, Masyn beat RaeAnna Gruchow of West Central Area by pin at 2:47..  There was no scoring in the first period. In the second period, Masyn started with a takedown and won by a pin at 2:47 to go 3-0 on the day and win the championship. for the second straight weekend.
