CROOKSTON CITY COUNCIL APPROVES AMENDED DECEMBER 26 MINUTES IN SHORT MEETING

The Crookston City Council breezed through their agenda Monday night in a meeting that lasted just a few minutes.

Mayor Guy Martin (pictured above) opened the meeting by presenting Patricia Jones, principal at Cathedral School, with a proclamation naming January 27 – February 2 as ‘Catholic School Week.”

The council then passed the consent agenda consisting of resolutions to approve the January 7 meeting minutes, approving bills and disbursements totaling $327,652.35, order preparation of preliminary engineer’s report for 2019 street improvement and approving partial payment estimate No. 3 for 2017 local funded street improvement to Knife River Materials.

The regular agenda only included amended meeting minutes for the December 26 agenda.  The council that was present passed the minutes without discussion.  “Council asked for more details, we determined that the best solution was pull off the item for discussion and specifically state what it was,” explained City of Crookston Finance Director, Angel Weasner. “So one of them was regarding an invoice and what invoice was regarding was flood protection, so that was added to each motion and the discussion.” Councilman Tom Vedbraaten, who pulled the minutes at the last meeting, was not present to vote or discuss the updates.
