Megan Monson, of Crookston, MN, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2021, at her home, at the age of 33.

Megan Marie Monson was born January 6, 1988 in Crookston, MN, the daughter of Troy and Lisa (Aune) Monson. She was raised in Fertile, MN, graduating from High School in 2006.
Following high school Megan attended Northland Community and Technical College, receiving an Associate of Arts Degree in 2009. She furthered her education at MSUM at Moorhead State in Moorhead, MN, and in 2011 graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice. In 2015 Megan graduated with highest honors with an Associate of Applied Sciences degree in Pharmacy Technology from Northland Community and Technical College.
Megan was employed by the Lakeview Resort from 2004 until 2017, and was currently employed at Riverview Health Care in Crookston, MN.
She enjoyed spending time when she was younger with her cows – Sven, Ole and Tyson. Megan loved spending time with her family and friends. Several of her favorite pastimes included listening to Metallica, crafting, scrapbooking, puzzles, genealogy, attending concerts, interior design and decorating, painting, sightseeing, writing, book collecting, walking, darts, and softball. Megan was very outgoing person and enjoyed life to the fullest.
Megan is survived by her mother Lisa Monson of Thief River Falls, MN; siblings Ryan of York, PA, Kirsten of Thief River Falls, MN, Christopher of Thief River Falls, MN; grandparents Arvid and Priscilla Monson of Fertile, MN.
Megan is preceded in death by her father Troy, grandparents Arley Aune, MaryJane Aune; great-grandparents Aurora and Truman Savage, Alma Leines & Myrtle Monson.
