Michael Scott Seaton, Sr., age 61, of Brooks, Kentucky, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, June 14, 2023.
He was born in Crookston, Minnesota to Arlynn and Verna Seaton. He farmed land with his father throughout high school. Michael also drove many trucks. He moved to Arlington, Texas where he started his own concrete pumping business. Michael lived in Texas with his wife and son for 20 years. He moved back to Maplewood, Minnesota where he drove a truck, as an independent contractor, for FedEx. Michael enjoyed driving and meeting new people. Mike and Shari were married on May, 3, 1980 and had a son, Michael Scott Seaton, Jr.
His hobbies included: spending time with family, racing cars with family, riding his motorcycle, working in his garage, and completing various home projects. He loved being outside in the sunshine. Prior to his passing he was working as a pharmacy technician at Kroger’s Jefferson Central Fill Facility. He is preceded in death by his father, Arlynn Seaton; uncle, Loren Seaton; and aunt, Carole Juvrud.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, best friend and his “rock”, Shari Seaton; son, Michael Seaton, Jr. (Leslie); grandson, Zachary Seaton; mother, Verna Gatheridge; sister, Lynnette Seaton; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. He will be greatly missed.
Cremation was chosen. Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd) are in care of the arrangements.
