MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE ANNOUNCES E-FILING WILL BE UNAVAILABLE BEGINNING NOV. 20

Due to the annual IRS 1040 Modernized e-File Production shutdown, the Minnesota Department of Revenue announced they will not accept electronically-filed Individual Income Tax and Property Tax Refund returns beginning November 20, 2021. E-filing for these returns will remain unavailable until the 2022 filing season opens. This will not affect business tax returns filed through their e-Services system.

Can I still mail individual income tax and property tax refund returns?
Yes. We will accept and continue to process these returns by mail.

When will the 2022 filing season open?
They will announce the opening day of the 2022 filing season shortly after the IRS makes its announcement. Check our website for the most up-to-date information.
