Over Christmas break, Miss Crookston 2025 and Just For Kicks and Crookston Pirate Dance team’s Hayley Leckie traveled to Florida and performed in the pre-game and halftime show of the Reliquest Bowl. “There were over 500 performers, and she was the only one to represent our program,” said Crookston’s Just For Kix Director Grace Espinosa. “At Just For Kix, we don’t just offer dance, we offer once-in-a-lifetime opportunities!”
“Leckie said it was an amazing experience. “Over the past week, I had the unforgettable opportunity to perform in the ReliaQuest Bowl alongside over 400+ dancers, fulfilling a childhood dream,” said Leckie. “Despite intense early-morning practices in challenging weather, we pushed through together. Outside of rehearsals, I enjoyed memorable experiences like Clearwater Beach, Busch Gardens, a dinner cruise where I made new friends, and finally performing on the field in an NFL stadium. Game day was especially meaningful, with the Broadway cast of The Outsiders singing the national anthem, creating a full-circle moment for me. The week ended with heartfelt reflections, gratitude for Cindy Clough (founder of Just for Kix) and the Just For Kicks organization, and a final day at Disney World with my parents. This experience taught me to step out of my comfort zone, appreciate every moment, and never take opportunities for granted as I move through my senior year.“
