MNDOT ANNOUNCES THE CLOSURE OF HIGHWAY 2 RAILROAD CROSSINGS BEGINNING THE WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 18

On Wednesday, the Minnesota Department of Transportation announced, beginning Monday, September 18, that railroad crossing repairs will begin on Highway 2 in Crookston. Motorists will detour utilizing Fisher Ave. and Highway 75. Repairs are expected to be complete by the end of the week.

Important reminders for motorists regarding work zone safety-
Slow down when approaching every work zone, then navigate through with care and caution.

Stay alert; work zones constantly change.

Watch for workers and slow-moving equipment.

Obey posted speed limits. The fine for a violation in a work zone is $300.

Minimize distractions behind the wheel.

Be patient; expect delays, especially during peak travel times.
