NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE EXTENDS WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY TO 7:00 PM TONIGHT

The National Weather Service in Grand Forks has updated and lengthened a Winter Weather Advisory for Northwest Minnesota until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday. The advisory includes the cities of Crookston, East Grand Forks, Ada, Twin Valley, Halstad, Moorhead, Detroit Lakes, Breckenridge, and Fergus Falls.
KROX has received several reports of icy roads in the area with several cars in the ditch. If you are traveling, make sure to slow down and take extreme caution.

* WHAT…Mixed precipitation. Snow accumulations of up to one inch and ice accumulations of a light glaze.
* WHERE…Portions of northwest and west central Minnesota and northeast and southeast North Dakota.
* IMPACTS…Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the evening commute.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS… Slow down and use caution while traveling.
