The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Crookston and the area from midnight to 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
The winter weather advisory is for the following counties – Polk, Norman, Clay, Kittson, Roseau, Lake Of The Woods, Marshall, Beltrami, Pennington, Red Lake, Clearwater, Beltrami, Mahnomen, Clearwater, Hubbard, Becker, Wilkin, Otter Tail, Otter Tail, Wadena, Grant, Grand Forks, Griggs, Steele, Traill, Barnes, Cass, Ransom, Sargent, Richland.
Including the cities of Hallock, Hillsboro, Crookston, Detroit Lakes, Warren, Roseau, Mahnomen, Red Lake, Thief River Falls, Mayville, Breckenridge, Forman, Halstad, Two Inlets, East Grand Forks, Cooperstown, Newfolden, Ada, Bagley, Bemidji, Valley City, Fosston, Fargo, Wahpeton, New York Mills, Elbow Lake, Fergus Falls, Moorhead, Wadena, Finley, Gwinner, Lake Itasca, Grand Forks, Park Rapids, Red Lake Falls, Middle River, Lisbon, and Baudette.

* WHAT…Snow and widespread blowing snow expected. Total snow accumulations up to one inch. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph.
* WHERE…Portions of central, north central, northwest, and west central Minnesota and northeast and southeast North Dakota.
* WHEN…From midnight tonight to 6 PM CST Friday.
* IMPACTS…Plan on slippery road conditions. Widespread blowing snow, frequently reducing visibility below a half mile, will make travel dangerous, especially in open country. The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday morning and evening commutes.
