No injuries reported following a vehicle versus train crash in Euclid on Wednesday

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to US Highway 75 and 133rd St SW in Euclid, MN, at 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday for a vehicle versus train crash.

When the deputy and first responders arrived on scene, the driver, Michael Gene Tiedemann, age 55, of Crookston, MN, was found to be uninjured and declined medical attention.

It was discovered that a southbound BNSF train struck a utility trailer being pulled by Tiedemann, causing damage to the trailer. There were no reported damages to the train or injuries to the operators.

BNSF reports no derailment or danger to the public as a result of this crash. No further details will be released at this time.

Assisting agencies include the Crookston Fire Department, Crookston Area Ambulance, and the Minnesota State Patrol.
