NOBODY HOME IN WEEKEND HOUSE FIRE IN GRAND FORKS

At approx. 7:02 p.m. Saturday, March 2, the Grand Forks Fire Dept. was dispatched to the report of a house fire located at 513 4th Ave. S. The call was initiated by a passer-by who called 911 and stated flames were coming from the windows. When fire crews arrived on scene, flames were observed coming from the first-floor windows of the two-story single family home.

The home sustained significant damage and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation. Fire crews will remain on scene throughout the night.  The fire department responded with 5 fire engines, 1 ladder truck, 1 command vehicle, and 17 personnel.  Off duty personnel were also called to assist.
