OBIT – Gladys LaCoursiere

Gladys LaCoursiere, 76 of Crookston, passed away on June 11, 2023.

Gladys was born in Thief River Falls, MN on July 7, 1946 to Omer and Emma (Dondoneau) LaCoursiere. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls. She continued a life long devotion to her faith. She attended school and graduated in 1964 from Lafayette High School. She began her career when moving to Crookston and served in the support staff of the University of Minnesota for 34 plus years. She also worked at various places throughout Crookston.

She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary 873 receiving her 45-year pin. Gladys was also an active member of her church funeral guild and Crookston’s Senior Center where she devoted many hours and years of service. She enjoyed gardening, walking, cross stitching and her many pets throughout the years.

She is survived by her sister, Ruby LaCoursiere, as well as many cousins and friends.

Gladys was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 19 at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Crookston at 11:00 a.m.; Visitation will be one hour before the service.  Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Crookston. Memorials may be given to Hospice of the Red River Valley, Cathedral Church or the charity of your choice.
