OUR SAVIOR’S LUTHERAN CHURCH’S YOUTH GROUP FUNDRAISING FOR TRIP TO NEW ORLEANS

Our Savior’s Lutheran Church will have a Movie Night Fundraiser on Wednesday, July 17, at 7:00 p.m. at the Grand Theatre. They will be showing “The Sandlot.”

The movie is free, but they will collect donations for their youth trip to New Orleans next summer. Concessions will be available to purchase, and everyone from the public will be invited to attend.

“There will be nine youth making the trip. “We are going to the LCMS National Youth Gathering. They hold it every three years; this next summer, it is in New Orleans. It is about four or five days of fun activities, Bible studies, devotions, and concerts at night for Christian artists,” said Our Savior’s Luther School Secretary Mary Gosse. “It really is a great time. Youth from all over the United States are invited to go so it’ll be a lot of other Lutheran teenagers that will be there in town.”

There will be another fundraiser next week with a rummage sale. “We have some new items that are coming in, new clothes, new furniture, a little bit of everything. We are reopening that same week (the week of the movie fundraiser), so next week, Thursday, July 18, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 19, from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m., and then Saturday, July 20, from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 pm. Then again, it is free will donation for almost everything there, with all donations going towards helping send our youth to New Orleans next summer.”
