PARK BOARD DISCUSSES CAMPGROUND AND POLICY UPDATES

The Crookston Parks & Recreation Park Board met Monday afternoon at Crookston City Hall.

POLICY UPDATES
Parks and Recreation Director Jake Solberg said they are looking at updating the department policies so parents and community members know what to expect with Park and Rec activities.
“The policies we are just looking at pushing them through to agenda for council next week. It’s just basic Rec. activity policies, philosophies in our sports, scheduling/cancellations, just a guideline to follow for parents, coaches, and players.”

CAMPGROUND UPDATE
The board received an update on the construction of the Campground in Central Park and it is nearly complete.
“They were down there today working. They painted parking lines, arrows, and things like that. Tomorrow they’ll be seeding. It’s almost done,” said Solberg. The hopes are to have the campground open by the end of July.

The next Park Board meeting will be on August 19, 2024.
