Patrick Thomas Cain – OBIT

Patrick Thomas Cain, 64, of Crookston, MN, passed away Thursday evening, March 21, 2024, in the Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND after battling cancer for many months.

Patrick was born in Camden, NJ on November 22, 1959, the son of Warren Douglas and Peg (Lyons) Cain. After completing his education Patrick set out to see the United States, visiting almost every state. He eventually made his way to Minnesota in 1988 and then settled in Crookston in 1999. In 2001 he met Theresa Fellman who became his fiancèe and longtime companion. Patrick was employed as a custodian for Crookston’s Northwest Mental Health, today known as Aluma. Though he never had Covid, due to working restrictions because of the pandemic he became unemployed and retired in 2020. Throughout his life Patrick enjoyed traveling, camping, listening to rock music, and watching movies on television.

Patrick is survived by his beloved fiancèe, Theresa Fellman of Crookston; 2 sons, Patrick Thomas Cain Jr. and Anthony Warren Cain; a brother, Michael; 3 sisters: Kathy, Nona, and Claire; and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Peg; and a brother, also named Warren.

The funeral service for Patrick Thomas Cain will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 26, 2024, in the Stenshoel-Houske Funeral Home, Crookston, with Msgr. David Baumgartner, presiding. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service.  There will be no livestreaming. Interment will be in the Oakdale Cemetery, Crookston, later this spring.
