PAUL REESE WINS POLK COUNTY COMMISSIONER DISTRICT 1 RACE

The Special Election for Polk County Commissioner District 1 was held on Tuesday to fill the vacancy after the death of Jerry Jacobson. 

The two finalists were Paul Reese and Michelle Cote.  Of the 3,299 registered voters in the District, 1,023 voted.
Paul Reese won the election with 581 votes (57 percent) to Michelle Cote’s 441 (43 percent). There was one write-in vote.

Red Lake County also had an election for County Commissioner District 3. Eric Mickelson received 174 votes (78 percent) to Arlen Brekke’s 48 (22 percent).
