PICKUP DRIVER TRANSPORTED AND CITED AFTER COLLIDING WITH SCHOOL BUS IN GRAND FORKS

On Friday, February 7 at approximately 3:15 p.m., officers of The Grand Forks Police were dispatched to a Bus/Vehicle crash on the 4200-block of Belmont Road.  According to witnesses, the Dietrich Bus operated by Brandon Carl was stopped on his route dropping off children when the bus was struck in the back by a 2015 Ford F 150 operated by Albert Giesbrecht. 

Giesbrecht was transported to Altru Hospital for possible minor injuries and cited for following to close.   None of the occupants of the bus received any reported injuries. 

Grand Forks Police were assisted by the Grand Forks Fire Department and Altru paramedics.   

The Grand Forks Police Department would like to take this time to remind all drivers to operate their vehicle in a safe manner and be cognizant of traffic flow.
