PINE TO PRAIRIE DRUG TASK FORCE AND GRAND FORKS NARCOTICS TASK FORCE ARREST THREE IN DRUG SEARCH

On Wednesday, April 20, 2022, the Pine to Prairie Drug Task Force and Grand Forks Narcotics Task Force executed a search warrant at 316 4th St. NW, where two individuals were actively selling M30 fentanyl pills. Over 800 pills were seized along with over $2,000 in cash.

The increased distribution of lethal M30 fentanyl pills, also known as “Fetty’s” or “Yerks,” has kept law enforcement in the region busy responding to overdoses. The blue pills bearing the imprint “M30” had resulted in multiple recent overdoses and deaths in the East Grand Forks-Grand Forks area. Many of these pills appeared to be “Percocets,” which was a legitimate brand-name opioid pain-reliever containing oxycodone and acetaminophen, but actually were misbranded and instead contained fentanyl.

The investigation is ongoing, and additional arrests and charges intend to be made in the future.

Arrested:

  • Abdulahi Abdulkadir Farah of Minneapolis
  • Mohamed Abdulgani Ahmed of East Grand Forks
  • Jacob Gabriel Brunelle of Grand Forks
