The Crookston Pirate Clay Target Team had its first week of practice for both Trap and Five-stand.
“It was great weather for shooting, and the kids did really well. You could tell the returning shooters did some shooting over the summer months,” said Coach Randy Prudhomme. “They came in and started shooting with improved scores from the end of the spring season. We had two new shooters, and they were breaking clays and having fun. It was also fun to see the returning shooters help them out and give pointers on what helps them. All in all, it was a safe, fun night, and we look forward to more of the same for our first-ever fall season of clay target.“

Austin Thode had a perfect score of 25 on the trap field.
