PIRATE GIRLS BASKETBALL COMPETING IN WISCONSIN DELLS

The Crookston Pirate Girls Basketball team is competing in Wisconsin Dells today and Tuesday.  The fun trip includes six games with two played today and four on Tuesday.  The girls took in the water park activities on Sunday afternoon and evening.

In the first game of the tournament, Crookston took on perennial Class AA power Goodhue and lost 55-33.  The Pirates settled in and got used to the physical style of play they were allowing and beat Rochester Mayo 57-43.  Crookston Coach Darin Zimmerman was able to play all 13 players in the games and it was a great experience against some good competition.
