PIRATE J.V. DANCE TEAMS FINISH 1ST IN KICK, 3RD IN JAZZ. VARSITY DOESN’T PLACE

The Crookston Pirate dance team competed in Frazee on Friday in a kick and jazz invitational.

The Pirate Varsity team didn’t place in the top three (only the top three teams are announced). “The varsity division was the closest in scoring we’ve seen all such great teams this year. We’re scoring very high in points, but ranking scores have been all over the board,” said Pirate Coach Grace Espinoza. “Varsity kick and jazz both had great performances but did not place in the top three.”

JV Kick came home with another first place, and JV Jazz competed for the first time and finished third place.

The next competition will be the first competition ever hosted in Crookston on January 11, 2024.
