HOILAND FINISHES 6TH AND 9TH, RELAY TEAMS FINISH 9TH PLACE AT SECTION 8A SWIMMING

The Crookston Pirate Girls Swimmers had a sixth and three ninth-place finishes in the Section 8A Girls Swimming and Diving meet in Grand Rapids.  Crookston finished 10th teamwise of 10 teams and the meet team was won by host Grand Rapids who edged out Detroit Lakes.

FINALS –
Madison Hoiland was the only Pirate to make the finals on Saturday.  She had the sixth-best time in the prelims and that is how she finished in the finals with a time of 1:13.08.  

CONSOLATION – 
The meet started with the Pirate 200 Medley Relay team of Mackenzie Aamoth, Madison Hoiland, Claire Oman and Fallon Johnson winning the consolation race for a ninth-place finish.
Madison Hoiland was seeded 10th after prelims in the 50 Freestyle coming into Saturday’s race.  Madison continued her impressive section meet as she won the consolation race and finished ninth place with a time of 26.70.
The 400 Freestyle Relay team of Fallon Johnson, Mackenzie Aamoth, Claire Oman, and Madison Hoiland won the consolation race and finished ninth place overall after cutting over three seconds off their time.
