PIRATE TRACK TEAMS FINISH 5TH AT CONCORDIA INDOOR MEET

The Crookston Pirate Boys and Girls Track teams opened up the season at the Heart O’Lakes Invite at Concordia College on Tuesday. The Pirate Boys finished fifth place out of seven teams and Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton won the event with 255 points, 130 points better than East Grand Forks.   The Pirate Girls finished fifth out of six teams, while Barnesville won the event with 173 points, 34 points better than Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton.

GIRLS –
Ashlyn Bailey, a sophomore, had a great start to the season with a second-place finish in the 55 meters, a fourth-place finish in the 200 meters, and she was also the anchor leg of the 4×200 relay team that finished fourth place.
Chloe Boll also had a strong start to the season with a third-place finish in the pole vault, and she was on the fourth-place 4×200 relay team.
Katie Seaver had a fifth-place finish in the 55 hurdles, and Grace Boll finished fifth place in the high jump.

BOYS –
Makoti Weber had a solid start to the season with a third-place finish in the pole vault with a vault of nine feet eight inches. It was the first time he had done the pole vault this season as they can’t practice it in the gym. He was also on the sixth-place 4×200 relay team.
Jayden Mulvey had a solid day as he was on the sixth-place 4×400 Relay team and also finished sixth in the 1600 meters.

Crookston will go back to Concordia College for the Pine To Prairie meet on Tuesday.
