The Crookston High School held a celebration to honor the 2021 Crookston Pirates Wrestling Team who won the Section 8A Championship on Saturday in Cass Lake with a win over Badger/Greenbush-Middle River. It is the first section championship since 1988 and only the second ever in program history.
The Pirates didn’t get to celebrate too long after the championship because they wrestled in the first round of the state tournament about 30 minutes later and lost to Royalton.
