Crookston High School students in the industrial technology department will be opening Pirates Cove during four upcoming events at Crookston High School beginning with the Junior High Band, Choir, and Orchestra Concert on Monday, November 25. The apparel offered in Pirates Cove was designed and printed by students at Crookston High School explains senior Caden Osborn. “We design everything in class,” said Osborn. “Some students put in a little extra work out of class but most of the designs are done in class. We have a base design we work off of and all the printing is done in class with the help of Ms. Boll.”
Besides design and printing, the students in the class will also run the store. Instructor Amy Boll said there is a variety of sizes from youth through adult 3X and the class can also do custom t-shirts. “The kids have been working hard and we have a lot of neat things going on, different designs and some really cool new things that the kids did,” said Boll. “We’ve been operating Pirates Cove for probably about 15 years. I’ve taken over the class the last four years and before that Mr. Trostad did it. We’re opening it at school events. We are offering youth sizes; we have lots of youth-sized sweatshirts available. We have adult sizes all the way to a 3X. We can do custom t-shirts, you just kind of come in and let us know what you would like to get.”
