Polk County Public Health is warning or potential measles exposures in Grand Forks on February 9 and 11. Grand Forks County has reported potential measles exposures at the following locations:
February 9
• Altru Pediatrics Clinic (12:10–7 p.m.)
• Hobby Lobby (1:15–4 p.m.)
• Starbucks (2–4:15 p.m.)
February 11
• ALDI (10 a.m.–12:30 p.m.)
• Sam’s Club (10:30 a.m.–1 p.m.)
• Dakota Pediatric Dentistry (11 a.m.–2 p.m.)
Measles symptoms typically begin with:
• Fever
• Cough
• Runny nose
• Red, irritated eyes
Followed by a rash that starts on the face and spreads downward. (Measles is contagious 4 days before and 4 days after rash onset.)
What you can do:

• Monitor for symptoms if you may have been exposed.
• Call ahead before visiting a clinic or ER and wear a mask.
• Follow your healthcare provider’s guidance.
