On Tuesday, February 4 at approximately 5:15 AM, a Polk County Sheriff’s Office squad car was involved in a property damage crash. The crash occurred in the city of Crookston at the intersection of 3rd Ave SW and US HWY 75.
Bowende Somde Eudes Ju Sorgho of Grand Forks was southbound on US HWY 75 in a 2016 Nissan Altima when he collided with Deputy Brittney Neil who was driving west through the intersection in a 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe patrol vehicle.
Both parties were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. No airbags deployed, and no injuries were reported.
Both vehicles sustained damage, however they were able to be driven from the scene.
The Crookston Police Department is investigating the crash.
No further information will be released at this time.
