After receiving a report that an apartment in Erskine had been shot at several times this winter we attempted to follow up. We were unable to get in contact with the resident of the apartment. But did speak with Chief Deputy Mike Norland with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office who confirmed that they have received multiple reports from that location this winter and are currently investigating the incident.
“We’ve been there a few times for a report of something hitting the window of the apartment,” said Norland. “It appears to be a BB gun or a pellet that is hitting the window. Whenever we get a call like that we follow up with whatever leads we can get and continue to monitor that area and try to track down who did it if possible. That is where we look to the public that if you see anything or hear anything make sure you let us know as soon as possible so we can follow up on it. We’re following any leads that come in and it’s still an active ongoing investigation.”
If you have seen or heard anything related to this case call the Polk County Sheriff’s Office at 281-0431.
