The Polk County Sheriff’s office responded to a shop fire in rural Crookston on Friday evening. Upon arrival, the fire inside the shop was being fought by the owners, Frank and Charles Johnson or rural Crookston. The Crookston Fire Department arrived, contained and extinguished the fire.
There were no injuries and the damage was contained to the Southwest corner of the building. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Responding agencies were the Polk County Sheriff’s office, Crookston Fire Department, Crookston Area Ambulance, and the Minnesota Fire Marshall’s Office.
