The Polk County Sheriff’s Office, in compliance with Minnesota Statute 626.8473, announces that they will be incorporating body-cameras into its equipment inventory, for daily use by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office sworn personnel.
A draft copy of the Portable Audio/Video Recorders policy is currently posted and for review on the Polk County website located at https://www.co.polk.mn.us/221/Sheriffs-Office.
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office will accept public comments in writing on the Polk County website Form Center, located at https://www.co.polk.mn.us/formcenter/Contact-Us-4/Sheriffs-Office-53 or by mail at:

If you wish to be heard in person, a public meeting will be held at the County Board chambers at the Polk County Government Center on April 28, 2020, at 9:00 a.m. Due to the current Stay at Home Order by the Governor, this might change.
